Since 1964, the Tony Jannus Award has recognized extraordinary accomplishments in the field of commercial aviation. Given annually by the Tony Jannus Distinguished Aviation Society, the award perpetuates the legacy of the world's first scheduled commercial airline, initiated and piloted by Tony Jannus on January 1, 1914 between St. Petersburg and Tampa, Florida.

College scholars awards program

The Tony Jannus Distinguished Aviation Society provides financial support to undergraduate college students pursuing degrees that could lead to careers in aviation. The program is offered to select colleges and universities in Florida.


High school scholars awards program

The purpose of the Tony Jannus High School Scholars Awards Program is to foster interest in scheduled commercial aviation as well as pilot Tony Jannus' history-making role in the inception of the world-wide industry amongst high schools students throughout the state of Florida.
